Labor of Love: Doula Care
As a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula working in the Columbus, Ohio area, I offer personalized birthing support. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, labor, and the first few weeks of your new baby's life.

If you’ve made it to my page, congrats!! This means you’re about to be a parent (or are already one!)
My name is Erica Lane. I’m a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula with DONA International, Childbirth Educator, Bereavement Doula, and a Doula Trainer.
I live in the Reynoldsburg, OH area, and I have two beautiful daughters who are my world. After having my second daughter, I thought back on my birth experience and wondered how I could have improved it. That’s when I learned about being a Doula.
My heart just bursts with joy at the thought of being able to offer support to so many women through their pregnancies, labors, and postpartum periods. I have so much love to give, and it brings me joy to educate and empower birthing people so that they can make the best decisions for themselves and their babies.
I felt called to do this work and I’m here to support you.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. I am always here for you.

Are you pregnant and overwhelmed? It's time to contact a birth and postpartum doula. It’s hard enough to adjust to life during pregnancy, let alone plan the birth of your child. There’s so much to learn, and so much to take care of. I can be there to support you and help guide you through the process with kindness, empathy, and professionalism.
It’s my mission to help pregnant people navigate the process of giving birth and, if you choose, the postpartum phase as well. I’ll offer emotional and physical support so that you don’t have to feel alone. As a certified DONA International Birth and Postpartum Doula, and Childbirth Educator, I’m ready to help you have the birth experience you’re looking for.
My goal is to meet the needs of each client, and no two experiences are exactly alike. I'll work closely with you to understand what your birth experience should look like, and we’ll agree on what roles I should play.

Postpartum Support
A postpartum doula is a trained professional who offers physical, emotional, and informational support to families after the birth of their baby. My role is to help you navigate the transition into parenthood by offering nurturing assistance, educational support, and an extra set of hands during those early, sometimes overwhelming days.
What I Offer:
-
Newborn Care Support: I can help you with infant care, including diapering, feeding support (whether you're breastfeeding or bottle feeding), swaddling, and calming techniques. I’ll guide you through establishing routines and help you feel more confident in caring for your little one.
-
Baby Care Basics: Bottle washing, baby laundry, baby bathing
-
Breastfeeding Support: I offer assistance with breastfeeding, including latch guidance, troubleshooting common challenges, and helping you find positions that work best for both you and your baby.
-
Emotional Support: Adjusting to life with a newborn can be emotionally challenging. I’m here to listen, offer a non-judgmental ear, and support you in processing the emotional shifts that come with becoming a parent.
-
Postpartum Recovery: I offer resources and suggestions for postpartum recovery, from physical self-care to mental health support, ensuring you’re supported during your healing process after birth.
